Skip Sinclair studied at La Jolla Academy of Fine Arts, University of California Berkeley, San Francisco State University, San Diego State University, University of France, Rohen, Thunderbird School of International Management and Finance. 

He has degrees as follows; MA International Finance, BA International Finance, BA Graphic Arts San Diego State University Graduate Studies in art, with emphases in life drawing and printmaking.

His work has been displayed at Museum of Fine Arts, San Diego, San Diego State University, La Jolla High School, and published in San Diego’s creative arts magazine, Quest.

In Vietnam, he served as the Head Illistrator, General Koster staff, US Army, Americal Division, Chu Lai 1967-1968
